While our people are struggling to afford housing, healthcare, and basic necessities, this administration is launching a war at home via ICE raids, National Guard deployments, and weaponizing the law to crush dissent. As they commit this violent military assault on our people, they’re simultaneously giving billions of dollars to Israel, funding their ongoing genocide of Palestinian, and now partnering to start an all-out war with Iran. Make no mistake, these attacks are not about freedom or protecting the Iranian people; these attacks are driven by capitalist greed, for which raw power is more important than human lives, and a desire to maintain American imperialism by brute force.
The kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicholas Maduro, imposition of sanctions on oil and financial transactions that are devastating Cuba, military actions in Nigeria, today’s bombing of Iran, and other coercive tactics make clear that the United States is pushing forward with a destructive regime-change imperialist agenda that will be devastating at home and abroad.
We have said from the beginning that the police violence Black people experienced was the precursor to and domestic manifestation of US militarism and fascism. Now this is on display for the world to see.”
